The Autumn Approach…

Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year. It is also one of my favorite seasons for cooking. As we shift from summer to fall, the seasonal change is evident in the veggies and fruits that are available in our local markets. The Fresh Box this week got me excited...

Ratatouille! (July 22-29)

In addition to cooking, I love a good cooking film! Chef, Big Night and Ratatouille are a few of my favorites. They are my favorites because the passion for cooking exhibited in these films comes through so strong. They give me all the feels. They make me want to be a...

Spinach Artichoke Egg Bake Cups

Back when entertaining was a more common occurrence, I loved putting together brunches for my friends and family. I would typically go all out and decide on 4-6 small plates, a charcuterie board, and cocktails. Often, I would find myself in a rush to finish before...

Meet the Contributors

Hi Jacksonville Fresh customers, friends and family! I am Tawny, owner of Tawny’s Kitchen. I have a passion for delicious comfort foods plated beautifully and so happy to be a recipe contributor to the Jacksonville Fresh team! I believe in their mission, I believe in the founders (they are some of the best humans), and I believe in providing access to the freshest, cleanest veggies and fruits while supporting local businesses! I am excited to share my recipes with all of you. I will be highlighting the ingredients we find in our Fresh Boxes while sometimes sharing tips on using ingredient substitutes, balancing flavors, as well as plating techniques. Hey, Jacksonville Fresh family! I am Itti Chopra, a Project Manager turned Recipe Tailor. “Thyme2Curry” is my passion project, to share healthy guilt-free recipes that are fresh from Farm to Table . I am so excited to share my recipes with the Jacksonville Fresh family on this blog! My recipes are inspired by my Indian heritage. Born and raised in Southern India, using fresh local and tropical produce has been a guiding influence on my cooking style. I strongly believe that the freshest, seasonal produce from local farmers results in the best culinary experience.  I love traveling and experiencing food from all over the world. When I moved to the States, I learned that Indian food here is considered exotic (which on some levels means unapproachable). But these dishes are not so difficult to make and go way beyond just the ‘curry’!. I am passionate about giving recipes from the world a healthy twist of my punchy Indian flavors. So, I hope that you enjoy my desi (Indian) cooking. My goal is to inspire you to explore delectable dishes that are simple to cook but complex in flavor! I will be using some key ingredients from the Fresh Boxes, as well as locally available inexpensive ingredients. I would love to hear from you! Please leave your comments or questions below. You can also follow me on Instagram at www.instagram.com/thyme.2.curry  or reach out to me at thyme2curry@gmail.com
