Gallberry Honey (12 oz)
From Bee Friends Farm:
A FLORIDA FAVORITE, GALLBERRY HONEY COMES FROM A FLOWERING BUSH EVERY SPRING.
The first question we are always asked about Gallberry is, “Does it have berries?” The bush does, in fact, have hard purple-ish berries (that are not edible). It blooms from late April to early June. Gallberry honey is slow to crystallize and is high in pollen and enzymes!
- Try with savory dishes like drizzling Gallberry honey straight over piping hot chicken and waffles!
Did you know? Each of our honey varieties is a mono-floral. Mono-floral honey means that the nectar from that honey comes from one specific flowering plant. Honey is named after the plant’s common name and each variety has a unique taste, almost like a fingerprint!
